Client: T-Mobile, Sports Sponsorships & 5G Activations
Event: PGA Championship, Aronimink Golf Club, May 2026
Our role: Concept, UX, 3D build, data integration and on-site support
The project
The ask
T-Mobile saw a clear need at its major sporting activations. Event operations crews were working from many separate data sources: crowd numbers, food and beverage, power, restrooms, the network. Each told part of the story. T-Mobile wanted the operations team to see all of that data visualised in one place, in real time, and in a way anyone on site could read at a glance.
How we solved it
We designed and built the Smart Operations Command Center (SOCC), a real-time 3D digital twin of the course. A drone-captured model of the venue sits on top of Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles, with live operational data layered over it: a crowd heatmap fed by the event app, restroom usage, queues, food and beverage, power, asset tracking and 5G network performance.
Venue data came through T-Mobile’s venue data partners, and network data from T-Mobile’s own engineers. The platform runs in the browser, on tablets for staff on the move and on a large-format touchscreen in the command center. We went from first concept to a live deployment in around two months.
