Powering the future of spatial computing: Sugar Creative joins the Niantic Spatial Developer Program

We’re proud to officially announce that Sugar Creative is now a Niantic Spatial Developer Partner — a small global cohort of studios exploring what’s possible with location-based AR and spatial computing.

The partnership was formally announced during Niantic’s Spatial keynote at AWE 2025, where they highlighted the work of select developers helping to shape the next generation of real-world AR experiences. At launch, Sugar was one of just three partners worldwide invited to help shape the platform from the ground up.

For over 15 years, we’ve been crafting imaginative experiences powered by emerging tech. From city-scale AR adventures to next-gen educational tools, we’ve always believed in the power of storytelling and interaction to shape how people connect with the world around them. With this new partnership, we’re doubling down on that mission, this time, with Niantic’s world-class spatial platform at our side.

Niantic Spatial is more than a toolkit. It’s a foundation for the next wave of reality-blending experiences, built on Visual Positioning System (VPS) technology, real-time mapping, and robust AR SDKs. As a Developer Partner, we’re among a select group of global studios granted early access to cutting-edge tools, direct support, and the opportunity to help shape the evolution of Niantic’s ecosystem.

This isn’t just a badge, it’s an active collaboration. Together with Niantic Spatial, we’re exploring how spatial computing can unlock richer narratives, deeper engagement, and new possibilities for play, learning, tourism, and beyond. From prototype to planet-scale deployment, we’re building what's next, and doing it with the best in the business.
